Monstera deliciosa is a tropical climbing plant prized for its large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves with natural splits and holes (“fenestrations”). It’s one of the most popular houseplants worldwide due to its dramatic foliage and relatively easy care. Mildly toxic to pets.

INDOOR CARE :

Light:

• Bright, indirect light

• Tolerates medium light, but fenestrations develop better in brighter spots

• Avoid direct afternoon sun (can scorch leaves)

Water:

• Water when the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil is dry

• Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy

• Reduce watering in winter

Humidity:

• Prefers moderate to high humidity

• Benefits from misting or a humidifier

Temperature:

• Ideal: 18–27°C (65–80°F)

• Avoid cold drafts below 15°C (59°F)

Soil:

• Well-draining, rich potting mix (e.g., peat + perlite + orchid bark)
